These General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to sales made through the The Temple of Tarot website, accessible at letempledutarot.com.

1. Purpose

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale define the conditions under which items offered on the website are sold, ordered, paid for and shipped.

The Temple of Tarot primarily offers antique, vintage, second-hand and collectible card decks, including tarot decks, Tarot de Marseille decks, oracle decks, Lenormand decks and other card decks related to cartomancy and divination.

The Bazas address is currently the registered business address and is not a return address. No returns must be sent to this address.

3. Description of Items

The items offered for sale are primarily antique, vintage, second-hand or collectible card decks. Due to their age, history and possible previous use, they may show signs of wear or characteristics specific to older items.

Each item has its own product listing describing, to the extent that information is available, its edition, contents, condition, any distinctive features and details that help identify it.

The photographs displayed on each product page are intended to allow buyers to assess the specific item offered for sale as accurately as possible.

4. Item Condition and Informed Purchasing

Antique, vintage, second-hand and collectible decks may show signs related to their age, storage or previous use, such as marks on the box, wear, minor deformation, colour variations, signs of use or other distinctive features.

These details are mentioned in the product listing when identified and may also be visible in the photographs.

I recommend that every buyer carefully review all photographs and available information before placing an order, in order to make an informed purchasing decision.

If you have any questions about a component of the deck, its condition, its contents or a photograph, you can contact me directly before making your purchase. Where possible, I can provide additional photographs or information.

My aim is to ensure that every customer knows exactly what they are purchasing before confirming their order.

5. Checks Before Shipping

For antique, vintage, second-hand or collectible items, I may contact you again before shipping.

In particular, I may resend photographs of the actual deck purchased and, where available, provide additional photographs or videos showing its condition, contents and individual components.

You may use this opportunity to ask any further questions or request additional photographs, where possible.

Before each shipment, I carefully check the deck that will be sent to you.

If this inspection raises a serious doubt about the authenticity or an important characteristic of the deck, I may inform you before shipping and, if necessary, cancel the sale rather than send an item about which I have concerns.

6. Orders and Payment

An order is placed after the customer has selected the item or items, provided the information required for delivery and completed payment.

The payment methods available are those displayed on the website at the time of the order.

The order becomes final once payment has been confirmed, subject to the provisions governing the right of withdrawal.

7. Information Required for Shipping

To ensure that an order can be shipped correctly, the buyer must provide accurate and complete contact details, including:

• First and last name;
• Full postal address;
• Telephone number;
• Email address.

I may contact the buyer after the order has been placed to verify this information before shipping, particularly when verification is necessary to prepare or track the parcel.

The buyer must promptly report any errors in the information provided.

8. Order Preparation and Traceability

Each deck is checked before shipping.

To maintain a record of order preparation, I may retain photographs of the actual deck prepared for shipment, including the box, cards, instructions or booklet, accessories and the various components included with the deck.

The parcel may also be photographed before shipping.

These records help document the item prepared and shipped and may be used if any questions arise concerning the preparation, contents or shipment of an order.

9. Shipping Method

Orders are primarily shipped via Colissimo with signature confirmation.

Shipments are covered by compensation appropriate to the value of the parcel. The cost of this protection is covered by The Temple of Tarot.

Mondial Relay is not available for orders placed through the website.

Shipping via Chronopost may be arranged at the customer's prior request. If this shipping method incurs an additional cost compared with the usual shipping method offered, the additional charge will be payable by the customer.

10. Incidents, Loss or Damage During Outbound Shipping

If a problem arises during the transport of a parcel shipped by The Temple of Tarot, I will handle the necessary procedures with the carrier.

The customer must promptly notify me of any difficulty encountered upon delivery or any irregularity concerning the parcel.

If the parcel is declared lost or a transport incident prevents delivery to the customer, the necessary procedures will be carried out with the carrier in order to seek a solution in accordance with the conditions applicable to the shipment.

11. International Shipping and Customs Duties

Orders may be shipped to various countries, depending on the destinations available at the time of purchase.

For orders shipped outside France, customs duties, taxes, import charges or other fees may be imposed by the authorities in the destination country.

Any such charges are payable by the recipient and are not included in the price paid on the website, unless otherwise stated.

The Temple of Tarot does not cover customs duties, import taxes or fees charged by the authorities or carrier in the destination country.

12. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with the provisions applicable to distance sales, consumer customers have 14 days from receipt of the deck to exercise their right of withdrawal.

The period begins on the day the customer, or a third party designated by the customer other than the carrier, physically takes possession of the deck.

Customers wishing to exercise their right of withdrawal must clearly notify me before this period expires.

A simple decision not to keep the deck may be exercised under the statutory right of withdrawal during the legal period, without having to provide a reason.

After notifying The Temple of Tarot of their decision to withdraw, customers have the applicable statutory period in which to return the deck.

13. Returning a Deck Following Withdrawal

Customers must contact me before returning an item. No return must be sent without prior contact to the Bazas registered business address.

After contact has been made, I will provide the customer with the information required to arrange the return.

The direct costs of returning the item are payable by the customer when exercising the right of withdrawal.

I strongly recommend that all returns be sent with tracking, signature confirmation and insurance appropriate to the value of the deck, particularly when the item is of significant value.

The customer must retain the proof of posting and the information needed to track the return until it has been received.

The deck must be returned with all components supplied with the original sale, including the box, cards, instructions or booklet, accessories and any other items included in the set.

14. Proof of Return Shipment

Customers are advised to retain the proof of shipment for the return and the tracking number provided by the carrier.

If a problem arises during the return shipment, these records help establish the shipping date and support any necessary procedures with the carrier.

15. Receipt, Weighing and Opening of Returned Parcels

Whenever a returned parcel is received, I record its weight before opening it.

I then film the parcel from all angles, followed by the opening process, in order to maintain a continuous record of the parcel's condition and contents at the time of receipt.

The returned contents are then checked to confirm the presence of the deck and its various components.

16. Condition of the Returned Deck

The returned deck must correspond to the item sold and include all components supplied with the original order.

Customers may handle the deck to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning. Any reduction in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary for such an assessment may be taken into account in accordance with the rules applicable to the right of withdrawal.

Decks sold in shrink wrap are sold sealed. The shrink wrap forms part of the condition in which the deck is offered for sale and may be important to its preservation and presentation.

For decks sold in shrink wrap, opening, removing or damaging the shrink wrap may alter the condition of the item. Any consequences will be assessed in accordance with the rules applicable to the right of withdrawal.

When a deck is still sealed in shrink wrap, some photographs displayed on the product page may be illustrative photographs taken from another identical or corresponding copy. These may be used to help customers visualise the cards, contents or presentation of the deck when the item offered for sale remains sealed.

17. Gifts Included with Orders

Any gifts included with an order are associated with that order.

If the right of withdrawal is exercised in relation to that order, any gift provided with it must be returned together with the products concerned by the withdrawal.

18. Refunds

Where the right of withdrawal is validly exercised, the amounts due to the customer will be refunded in accordance with the applicable legal provisions.

The refund includes the amounts paid for the products concerned and the standard delivery costs applicable to the order, subject to the legal rules governing any additional costs resulting from the customer's choice of a delivery method more expensive than the standard delivery method offered.

The direct costs of returning the item remain payable by the customer when exercising the right of withdrawal.

The refund may be withheld under the conditions provided by law, particularly until the goods have been recovered or until the customer has provided proof of having sent back the goods, whichever occurs first.

The refund will be made using the same payment method as that used for the original transaction, unless the parties agree otherwise.

19. Photographs, Videos and Information About Items

The photographs and videos used on the website are created to present the items offered for sale as accurately as possible.

For antique, vintage, second-hand or collectible decks, photographs help customers assess the condition of the box, cards, instructions and accessories.

Photographs of the actual item offered for sale must be distinguished from any illustrative photographs used to show the contents of a deck that remains sealed.

Differences that may appear between photographs displayed on a screen and the actual appearance of an item, particularly due to screen settings or lighting conditions, do not in themselves constitute a change to the item sold.

20. Intellectual Property

All content published on The Temple of Tarot website is protected under the applicable intellectual property laws.

This includes, without limitation:

• Photographs of decks and other items offered for sale;
• Videos created to present the items;
• Product page texts and descriptions;
• Editorial texts, articles and documentary content;
• Presentations, layouts and graphic elements created for the website.

These contents are created and published by The Temple of Tarot and must not be considered free of rights.

The reproduction, copying, downloading, reuse, modification, distribution or publication of all or part of these contents without my prior authorisation is prohibited.

In particular, it is prohibited to reuse my photographs, videos, texts or descriptions on another website, marketplace, online store, social network, listing or any other commercial or public medium.

The presentation of a similar or identical item on another website does not grant any rights to the photographs, texts or content that I have personally created.

Any authorised use of content remains subject to my prior agreement and to any conditions I may establish.
