About The Temple of Tarot

I am Élodie, founder of The Temple of Tarot.

Having been passionate for many years about tarot decks, oracle cards, Lenormand decks and the world of cartomancy, I created The Temple of Tarot to bring together my passion for these decks, my collecting and selling activities, and my research into their history.

A passion that grew into a project

Before creating The Temple of Tarot, I developed my business selling cartomancy decks on various platforms, including Etsy and eBay.

Over the years, this experience has allowed me to deepen my knowledge, learn to identify different editions, compare variations and document decks with ever-greater precision.

Today, The Temple of Tarot is the culmination of this experience and the space I wanted to create to take things further.

A specialist shop

The Temple of Tarot offers tarot decks, oracle cards, Lenormand decks and other cartomancy decks, including antique, vintage and collectible editions.

Each item is carefully examined and presented. Photographs are taken to show the deck, its box, cards, booklet and condition as accurately as possible.

Available information about each item is provided as precisely as possible. When a detail cannot be confirmed, it is not presented as certain.

A space for research and knowledge sharing

The Temple of Tarot is more than just a shop.

The website also aims to become a reference resource dedicated to cartomancy decks and their history.

The Encyclopaedia, the Cartomancy section and the Blog will gradually bring together information about decks, their creators, publishers, different editions and distinctive features.

The aim is to preserve and share this knowledge, while helping collectors, enthusiasts and curious visitors identify and better understand the decks they come across.

An approach based on accuracy

Identifying an antique or vintage card deck sometimes requires comparing an edition, a reference number, a booklet, a box or even small details on the cards themselves.

That is why I favour detailed, well-documented and transparent presentations.

I do not seek to present a deck as exceptional when this cannot be established. Information is provided when it can be verified, and uncertainties are acknowledged whenever they exist.

This approach is part of the identity of The Temple of Tarot.

Welcome to The Temple of Tarot

Whether you are a collector, a cartomancy enthusiast, a practitioner or simply curious to discover the history of a deck, you are welcome at The Temple of Tarot.

The shop and the website's resources will continue to grow over time as new acquisitions, research and discoveries are made.
